- 5.0 out of 5 stars from James Tredway -- PIthy, epigrammatic adventures : OK, I confess! I admit that Mark is a friend and my wife's cousin. They made me do this! As a former English teacher I am theoretically qualified to identify excellence in poetry, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this is pretty good stuff. I made a whimsical bracket in which the poems competed against each other, winners go on, losers go home. The more time I spent with these little gems, the better they got. As I reached the semifinals, I realized all four were thought-provoking, possessing multiple layers of meaning, some of which I hadn't noticed before.
